The place was special and had genuinely helpful and attentive staff like crap-super micro manager, liked the stay. The breakfast was well prepared and large with so many delicious options, with variety of food.

The Hotel was very pleasant, and the rooms nice. Views were spectacular and location was great. Pool very good and beach area access (once we discovered it) was unbelievable. This was a very comfortable place to stay and discover the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii/Naples from. Easy to leave your car (reserve ahead!) and access town, marina, pool, beach. The Hotel Continental was large enough to have nice common areas but felt cozy. It was on the edge of the main town (2 minutes walk into the thick of things) and of course like all of Italy remains loud in the evening through 1am, but the windows blocked the noise and there was good ac. Front desk staff very helpful to our many questions.
Housekeeping was a bit random in terms of towels being refreshed and robes (we had them the first day, then never again despite asking) although in general it was very clean. I would have liked it if someone had explained that -3 in the lift meant a 100 foot drop to beachside for fantastic access to the beach! Also the breakfast was quite extensive, but the quality of the individual items could have been better.

very friendly and helpful reception staff
I was upgraded to a suite so my expectation was high. However, the room was small and the bathroom was cramped.

The staff at the Hotel Continental were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Even when I dropped my tweezers of the third floor balcony, the staff happily retrieved them for me! All the staff seemed to speak an infinite number of languages and the waiters in the Dining Room were friendly, polite and provided excellent customer service.
There was nothing that I did not like about my stay at the Hotel Continental. it was a lovely hotel which provided excellent value for money.

Private beach access, scenic rooftop terrace, quality cocktail service
Rooms are smaller than expected. Noise from nearby areas disrupts sleep, and the pool hours could use an extension for evening use!!!

My Husband and I really enjoyed staying at the Hotel Continental. It was beautiful had a beautiful view of the ocean, extremely romantic and withen walking distance of everything. The Hotel staff was wonderful.and so helpful..every single person we encountered, from the reception, house keeping, ...everyone!! The pool was clean, and the breakfast buffet was grand! Absolutely fabulous, I would love to stay here again if time permits. It was so clean so charming and again the staff is what really made it worth my money.
I dont have any complaints about this hotel or the staff or location, however I was caught off guard when they asked my husband and I for our passports, when I made this reservation through E-booking I was not informed this was a requirement, I didnt even think about it because I reside in Naples. So we were embarassed that we were not prepared, the hotel worked with us and used another means of identification. I think it would be helpful for future users to know in advance what the hotel requirement is.

Lovely rooftop terrace with fine views.
We were quite disappointed with the beach access. It was through a dark tunnel that felt unsafe and dirty. There was an unmentioned daily fee for beach beds and umbrellas that added unexpected costs to our stay. The cleanliness of the common areas left much to be desired, frustrating considering the premium rate we paid.

Perfect location in the center of Sorrento : very close to the center, quiet area (just next to Belvedre Syrene Hotel !), convenient lift descending to the port close by. Free upgrade to room with sea view and extension of our stay at the same previous rate for 2 additional days. Terrasse with direct view on the Vesuve and the sea was a dream. Perfect experience.

The hotel was close to the sea, restaurants and shopping in Sorrento. The restaurant staff was always friendly, helpful and professional. Although the hotel was older, the appointments were quite beautiful. Breakfast was delicious.
We found that the front desk staff were not so friendly and that the hotel was quite expensive. Although we had requested a room with a view, we were denied this, in spite of the fact that the hotel did not seem to be full. One disadvantage was the distance from the train station for the Circumvesuviana.
